Campaign Against Sanctions on Iraq (CASI)
CASI campaigns for the lifting of the current economic sanctions enforced by the UN against Iraq, which according to CASI, have had a disastrous effect on the citizens of Iraq. CASI does not believe in the effectiveness of economic sanctions and it is against using them as a political tool.

The United Nations Development Programme
According to the author, on page 400, much of the world is generally divided into two economic spheres: a wealthy North and a less wealthy South. To learn more about the economic issues facing the least developed countries of the world, visit the United Nations Development Programme Web site. UNDP's mission is to help countries in their efforts to achieve human development by assisting them to build their capacity to design and carry out development programs in poverty eradication, employment creation and sustainable livelihoods, the empowerment of women, and the protection and regeneration of the environment, giving first priority to poverty eradication.
