Power Person: Nominate Someone Special
Do you know someone who is particularly successful at managing his or her money matters? Does this person have a certain process of budgeting that he or she exercises to control his or her spending habits? Is this person always documenting his or her withdrawals from the ATM or keeping track of his or her credit card balance? Does he or she hold a part-time job to earn extra spending money to go to a movie or buy clothes? How does he or she do it? Would others benefit from his or her experiences? If so, nominate this person to be the focus of the Speaking of Success feature in chapter thirteen of the next edition of P.O.W.E.R. Learning. In a brief essay, written in the space below, explain why you feel this person would be a good choice as a role model for successful money management. Be sure to use specific examples. Broad generalities won't suffice. At the end of the semester, all students using the text and this Web site will be allowed to vote for their choice, although you will not be able to vote for your nomination.
