The Case of... Identifying Reason

Chapter ten asks you to focus on making decisions that are right for you. Most college students do not realize the importance of their decisions in college. Some students that focus on balancing their academic life, social life, and spiritual life tend to make decisions that benefit and assist them in obtaining their higher education goal. What important decision have you made that has long-term significant effects on your course of study? What were the main benefits of a decision that proved to be of great importance in terms of the direction your life would take?

Considering both the benefits and disadvantages of a decision you recently made, how would you explain the process you used to come to your decision? How did you decide the importance of your values, academic responsibilities, and social life? Explain your process of successful decision making and jot down some hints and tips for your fellow students to use. Other students may profit from your experience. In return, you will be able to see how others make decisions and learn from some of the strategies that they used to conquer their conflicts and perhaps even learn a few helpful tips as well.
