Power Person: Nominate Someone Special

Do you know someone who is particularly successful at taking tests? Does this person have strategies in tackling tests? Does this person prepare with the right tools for a test? Does he or she participate in study groups or focus at an individual study cubicle in the library? How does he or she deal with distractions? Does this person receive above average grades in his or her courses overall? How does he or she do it? Would others learn from his or her experiences?

Nominate this person to be the focus of the Speaking of Success feature in Chapter six of the next edition of P.O.W.E.R Learning. In a brief essay, written in the space below, explain why you feel this person would be a good choice as a role model for taking tests successfully. Be sure to use specific examples of his or her success. Broad generalities won’t suffice. At the end of a semester all the students using the text and this Web site will be allowed to vote for their choice. You will not be able to vote for your nomination. The student receiving the most votes may be featured in the next edition of the text, if he or she so chooses. You can view the current entries here.

After submitting your entry, you will be forwarded to a page which contains all of the entries. You may wish to bookmark that page so you can return to it and vote at the end of the semester.

Please provide the following information as a way of contacting you and/or your nominee if he/she is selected. The information will be kept confidential and will not be posted on this site.

And thanks for contributing to the next edition!
