Power Person: Nominate Someone Special

Do you know someone who is particularly successful at finding and using information? Does this person always know how to find information in the card catalogue ? Does she generally know how the stacks are organized even in a large library? Does this person surf the net with a dexterity that you wish you had? How does he or she do it? Would others learn from his or her experiences?

Nominate this person to be the focus of the Speaking of Success feature in Chapter four of the next edition of P.O.W.E.R. Learning. In a brief essay, written in the space below, explain why you feel this person would be a good choice as a role model for finding and using information. Be sure to use specific examples of her success. Broad generalities won't suffice. At the end of a semester, all students using the text and this Web site will be allowed to vote for their choice. You will not be able to vote for your nomination. The student receiving the most votes may be featured in the next edition of the text, if she so chooses. You can view the current entries here.

After submitting your entry, you will be forwarded to a page which contains all of the entries. You may wish to bookmark that page so you can return to it and vote at the end of the semester.

Please provide the following information as a way of contacting you and/or your nominee if he/she is selected. The information will be kept confidential and will not be posted on this site.

And thanks for contributing to the next edition!
