Do you know someone who is particularly successful at using learning style to her or his best advantage? Does this person always understand the focus of the lesson? Does this person generally do well in all types of classes? How does he or she do it? Would others learn from her experiences? Nominate this person to be the focus of the Speaking of Success feature in Chapter three of the next edition of P.O.W.E.R. Learning. In a brief essay, written in the space below, explain why you feel this person would be a good choice as a role model for using her learning style successfully. Be sure to use specific examples of her success. Broad generalities won't suffice. At the end of a semester, all students using the text and this Web site will be allowed to vote for their choice. You will not be able to vote for your nomination. The student receiving the most votes may be featured in the next edition of the text, if she so chooses. You can view the current entries here.
