Success in college is not a hit or miss proposition. It costs too much both in money and in time, to take a chance on failure. Everyone has the ability to succeed, but most students need a road map of sorts to help them find the way to success. P.O.W.E.R. Learning provides a systematic framework for studying and learning that will assist you in making the most of your college career. This exercise will test your understanding of the strategies outlined in the P.O.W.E.R. acronym.

A. Read the scenarios located here that identify situations likely to occur in the lives of college students. Then decide which strategy it defines by moving the situation into the P.O.W.E.R. backpack where it belongs. When your mouse cursor is on the backpack where you think it belongs, release the mouse. If it is a correct placement, the situation will disappear into the backpack and a new situation will appear. If it is incorrect, the same situation will appear. Keep trying until you get them all right.
