Kohlberg's Theory of Moral Development
Note: This Java Applet will take a few minutes to load on most systems. Please wait.
The card game below is kind of like the game Solitaire. After you click the "Start Over" button at the top, click on the stack of cards on the upper left. The cards will flip over one at a time to each reveal an example of a different stage of Kohlberg's Theory of Moral Development. The stack to the right shows one of the six stages of Moral Development. There are three examples of each stage for a total of eighteen examples. Your task is to match up the example with the stage that matches it. You do this by dragging the example card over the level card (just like Solitaire). If you guessed it incorrectly, the card will revert back to the example stack on the left. If you guessed it correctly, the card will merge with the stage, move up to a new stack and a box will appear telling you that you got it right. Click the "OK" button in this box and continue with the game until you have correctly guessed all of the stages. Good luck and have fun!
